Workshop Code of Conduct
By participating in this workshop, you agree to abide by the code of conduct:

-
18+
-
Though you may make friends in this workshop, it is best to enter this space as you would a classroom setting, where we are all cordial, respectful, and mindful not to talk over others, put down other’s ideas or work, etc.
-
Absolutely no bigotry (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc.)
-
Though I have already said to be respectful, I shall say specifically: be respectful in the feedback you provide. Remember how hard it can be to share your work, and don't forget that positive feedback is valuable too!
-
This group is meant to help everyone grow as writers, so it is essential that everyone is open and receptive to feedback.
-
No shaming. We accept all genres/styles/audience types (audience types = adult, young adult, etc.). We also accept writers of all stages, from beginners to veterans.
-
Do not redistribute the pieces that have been shared with you. Do not share information about any pieces on social media without the author's express permission.
-
It is understood that ideas are freely given in this group; if you give someone an idea, that means you are granting them permission to use it in their work.
-
Please attend meetings regularly (life circumstances allowing). It is not fair to only attend the meeting where you are being critiqued. If you have to miss a meeting, it is good courtesy to still provide notes to the person being critiqued.
-
Please block off ninety minutes for our meetings.
Those who do not abide by this code will be removed from the group without a refund.
